With Christ

Galatians 2:20I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

One of the most powerful truths in the Word of God is the position of the believer in Christ. It is truly transforming when one understands this glorious work that God has done when He saved us. From the moment of salvation, every second of our existence can be lived and experienced by faith with Christ because we are in Christ. Because of our position in Christ, we can know that our past is gone, our present can be victorious, and our future is secure. I want us to think about four things concerning our position in Christ from this wonderful verse of Scripture.

1. Our Position – I am identified with Christ
   “I am crucified with Christ”
2. Our Power – I am indwelt by Christ
   “nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me”
3. Our Participation – I am influenced by Christ
   “and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God”
4. His Possession – I am in awe of the love of Christ
   “Who loved me, and gave Himself for me”

Jesus died on the cross to save you from your sins.
Jesus lives in you to save you from your self.
