Somebody Help Me

Mark 2:1-12

We all experience trouble in our lives. That trouble can manifest itself in many different ways. One of the great things about the family of God is the support, comfort, strength, and encouragement we receive from each other. Sometimes we know what we need to do but we need someone to help us do it. In Mark 2, the afflicted man had friends who would stop at nothing to get him to Jesus. Sometimes, we need others to help us get to Him with our troubles. When we need help, I am glad we have the family of God.

Somebody, help me, I must get to Him
Somebody, help me remember when
He heard my cry and He lifted me up
Somebody, help me, I need His touch

I’ve been walking with Jesus for many years
I’ve felt my heart break, I’ve shed bitter tears
But this trial of sorrow that I’m in right now
Is overwhelming and I cannot see how
I’m gonna make it or if it will end
Please, somebody, help me get to Him

Somebody, help me, I must get to Him
Somebody, help me remember when
He heard my cry and He lifted me up
Somebody, help me, I need His touch

I wish I could tell you what is going on
Right now I’m not worried about being wrong
My heart is breaking and I know that He sees
And He will reach down and He will comfort me
I know He promised to be my dearest Friend
Please, somebody, help me get to Him

Somebody, help me, I must get to Him
Somebody, help me remember when
He heard my cry and He lifted me up
Somebody, help me, I need His touch

My heart is breaking and I know that He sees
And He will reach down and He will comfort me
I know He promised to be my dearest Friend
Please, somebody, help me get to Him
